The Ultimate Guide to Study Abroad Travel

“Take advantage of any and every opportunity to travel while you’re studying abroad!”

If you’re planning to study abroad, you’ve probably heard this advice plenty of times, but booking trips throughout Europe can be more complicated and costly than you anticipated. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy in 2015 and I’ve worked in the Student Travel Industry since 2016. I’m constantly getting questions from students who want to figure out the best places to go, the cheapest prices, safest accommodation, best nightlife and best times to travel while they’re studying abroad. I decided to create a comprehensive guide to study abroad travel complete with the best locations, prices and times of year to visit!

Why Travel With a Student Travel Company?

I’ve tried just about every form of travel that’s popular among study abroad students. There are tons of options out there: solo travel, planned travel with friends, day trips, weekend trips, spring break, rail passes, cheap airlines and plenty more. Trying to sort through all of these options with little knowledge of travel in Europe can be at best stressful and at worst downright dangerous. Time and time again, I’ve found that planning your travel through a student travel agency saves time, energy and money that can be spent actually experiencing your once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad!

How It Works and How You Save:

  • A student travel agency is a one stop shop when it comes to traveling abroad. They provide pre-planned trips with the option to explore on your own or discover the city with a group while hitting all the major sites and showing you little-known gems and the best nightlife spots.
  • Planning trips across Europe is complicated. If you decide to do it all on your own, you’re stuck dealing with language barriers, currency conversions, price hikes and the time and stress that comes with navigating a foreign city.
  • When you work with a student travel agency, you pay one set price, and because they specialize in working with hotels and transportation across Europe, they’ll find you the best spots for the best price.

I work with a student travel agency based in Florence, Italy. Check out their website here.  When you book with Florenceforfun, make sure to use my referral code “AMEENA” to save up to 50% on every trip!

Here’s some info about the trips offered by Florenceforfun, the best times to visit each location, and general pricing information!
